Update [Thu 19th Mar 2026, 11pm]: Shortly after publishing this article, the PS Store<\/a> pre-order charts updated, with Starfield\u2019s<\/a> Premium Edition now the number one game in the US, following the release of Crimson Desert<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The game\u2019s also number one in the UK as well, beating out the likes of 007 First Light<\/a> and LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Original Story: It looks like Bethesda\u2019s decision to bring Starfield<\/a> to the PS5 over two years after its original release is not doing it much harm.<\/p>\n

The sci-fi RPG \u2013 which received a mixed reception upon launch \u2013 has rocketed close to the top of the PS Store<\/a> pre-order charts.<\/p>\n

In the US<\/a>, for example, its Premium Edition is currently ranked third, behind only imminent release Crimson Desert<\/a>. You\u2019ll also find its standard version in sixth position.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a similar story in the UK<\/a>, where the aforementioned rank third and fourth respectively, above 007 First Light<\/a> and LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"Xbox's<\/a><\/p>\n

Obviously the port was only announced earlier this week<\/a>, but it\u2019s due out soon, on 7th April, so is likely to hold its position until launch.<\/p>\n

On PlayStation\u2019s YouTube channel<\/a>, the announcement trailer attracted 200k views, which is a respectable number overall.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, on X<\/a> (or Twitter<\/a>), PlayStation\u2019s post about the game attracted around 10k likes and over 2.5 million views.<\/p>\n

So it suggests there is still very much a market for Starfield on PS5, and while we\u2019re sceptical of it reaching the same highs as other Xbox ports, like Forza Horizon 5<\/a>, we suspect this is going to give some much-needed legs to the Todd Howard directed title.<\/p>\n
