However, some peanut butter have a lot more than peanuts in them, warns Tara Collingwood, MS, RDN, CSSD, LD\/N, ACSM-CPT, a Board Certified Sports Dietitian and co-author of the Flat Belly Cookbook for Dummies<\/a>. \u201cHere are\u00a06 peanut butter brands\u00a0or types that have been known to contain\u00a0questionable additives\u2014things like hydrogenated oils, excessive added sugar, or emulsifiers that are unnecessary in a basic peanut butter,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

Jif Creamy Peanut Butter isn\u2019t the healthiest option in the grocery store aisle. \u201cIt contains more than just peanuts and salt, which may not align with whole-food or clean-eating standards,\u201d Collingwood says.<\/p>\n

Hydrogenated vegetable oils\u00a0(rapeseed, cottonseed, soybean) \u2013 partially hydrogenated oils may still contain trans fats.<\/p>\n
