Tyson Fury may be returning to boxing to face Arslanbek Makhmudov next month, but the Gypsy King looks set to not have his father John in his corner<\/p>\n

John Fury has revealed he and Tyson Fury<\/a> are no longer on talking terms. The Gypsy King constantly had his father in his corner, until he decided to leave John out of his team before his second defeat to Oleksandr Usyk.<\/a><\/p>\n

At the press conference previewing Fury’s return to boxing<\/a>, which will see him fight Russian giant Arslanbek Makhmudov<\/a>, John took centre stage when he lashed out at former world champion Carl Froch and many others<\/a>. However, the former bare knuckle boxer has since revealed his relationship with his son is “destroyed completely” and said the two-time world<\/a> champion wants nothing to do with him.<\/p>\n

It’s an explosive revelation from Fury’s father, who has never been too far away from the Gypsy King. Nevertheless, according to John’s words, the Morecambe fighter wants nothing to do with his father.<\/p>\n

“My relationship with Tyson is destroyed” he said to Playbook Boxing<\/a>. “Boxing destroyed it completely. I’ll say it on camera: I’ve never taken \u00a310 off him in my life and I never will.<\/p>\n

“I don’t want Tyson’s money and I don’t need Tyson’s money. Whatever he’s got, good luck to him. But, don’t forget who built his story when he was a kid. He didn’t build it himself, did he? Me, his father.”<\/p>\n

When asked about Fury coming out of retirement to face Makhmudov, John said: “I think he’s past his best. I’m a no-filter kind of guy – I say it how I see it. I love him, but there are too many people patting him on the back and telling him things that aren’t true, building him up like he’s invincible.<\/p>\n

“He’s not and he hasn’t been for a while. Tyson has been gone since the Deontay Wilder<\/a> fights, they finished him. Wilder completely done him. He’s not got a leg underneath him.<\/p>\n

“He’s took a lot away from Tyson. Makhmudov is a problem for Tyson. I am the first one to say it. Listen, I understand now that Tyson is testing himself. But, I can tell you now, his legs aren’t there anymore. I understand the only way he will believe that and see that is when the first bell rings.”<\/p>\n

Fury has had his eye on a third bout against Usyk, having already lost twice to the Ukrainian in Saudi Arabia. The 38-year-old has insisted he won both matches against the Olympic gold medallist, despite the judges scorecards constantly going against him.<\/p>\n

John also believes Fury should not take on the Ukrainian again, saying: “Tyson’s getting weaker and Usyk’s getting stronger. All I ever said to him was this: if I\u2019d been in his corner and he got into trouble, he wouldn\u2019t die.<\/p>\n

“But if he gets into trouble with them in his corner, he could end up dead or with brain damage for life. Because when your legs are gone, you need someone to save you. They won\u2019t do that. They won\u2019t throw the towel in. They won\u2019t pull him out.<\/p>\n

“Their egos are bigger than Tyson, bigger than the fight itself. And that\u2019s how people get seriously hurt in this game. You\u2019ve seen it before – one shot, bang, and it\u2019s over. It can happen just like that. It\u2019s a dangerous sport.”<\/p>\n
