“About a month ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer very early stage thankfully & the prognosis is excellent,” she wrote. “I had a routine mammogram a week before Christmas.” (sic)<\/p>\n

The writer confirmed that her outlook remains positive, with doctors giving her an excellent prognosis.<\/p>\n

Since the announcement, Mr Gervais has been quiet across socials and supporting Ms Fallon to get through this huge life-altering news.<\/p>\n

However, the comedian went live on his YouTube account yesterday, where fans were eager to have an update on his wife’s condition.<\/p>\n

One fan asked Mr Gervais how Fallon was doing after the recent news, to which he simply responded: \u201cDoing well, thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n

“Since then I’ve had more mammograms, more biopsies and an MRI so they can pinpoint the problem area precisely,” MsFallon added in her social media announcement.<\/p>\n

The diagnosis has involved multiple rounds of imaging and tissue sampling as medical professionals work to build a complete picture of her condition.<\/p>\n

Ms Fallon acknowledged that the weeks since her diagnosis have been challenging and admitted: \u201cIt’s been a lot, I’m not going to lie.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the devastating news, Ms Fallon is now focused on her upcoming treatment, with surgery scheduled for later this month.<\/p>\n

“My surgery is scheduled for the week after next and I just want to get it over with now,” she said.<\/p>\n

Hours before announcing her diagnosis, Mr Gervais revealed that he no longer wanted to appear on TV and would be focusing on growing an online audience.<\/p>\n

During an Instagram live, he expressed: \u201cThe reason I want to build up a following and subscribe on YouTube is so I never have to do another press interview or go on telly and have to put on trousers to promote my stuff.\u201d <\/p>\n

He suggested that speaking directly to fans online felt more natural and connected, rather than the traditional sense of public appearances. <\/p>\n
