Beyond the film, Paris also questioned how Estate funds are being handled, alleging risky investments and highlighting that the executors earned $7.9 million in 2021 alone, totaling over $148 million since 2009.<\/p>\n
The Estate\u2019s legal team? Not impressed.<\/p>\n
They fired back, saying Paris and her lawyers have \u201ceither not been paying attention over the past several years or simply want to object for objections\u2019 sake.\u201d They also accused her camp of \u201cplaying media games by making headline-grabbing, yet false, accusations.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for the biopic\u2019s budget and scope, the Estate doubled down: it would be \u201cirresponsible not to explore a major motion picture based on Michael Jackson\u2019s life,\u201d especially after the success of Bohemian Rhapsody.<\/p>\n
They also claimed Paris was invited to discuss the project but never followed through due to NDA negotiations.<\/p>\n
Attorney Jonathan Steinsapir went further, stating: \u201cMs. Jackson and her attorneys are once again abusing the courts and the legal system by making a series of false allegations as part of a media campaign to distract from their legal setbacks and the inherent weakness of their case.\u201d<\/p>\n
He continued: \u201cThe vast majority of her \u2018claims\u2019 have been either approved by her legal team or by the court\u2026 Others are based on false or misleading information.\u201d<\/p>\n
Steinsapir also emphasized: \u201cThe executors have been meticulous and conscientious in every decision that they have made,\u201d adding that Paris has already received \u201croughly $65 million\u201d and stands to inherit far more.<\/p>\n
