Britain\u2019s Got Talent was in Birmingham tonight (March 21), with 12-year-old James auditioning for the judges.<\/p>\n

He was the second act shown on the ITV series tonight, which saw Simon Cowell replaced<\/a> after he suffered a nasty accident.<\/p>\n

Stacey Solomon stepped in for one day of auditions, before Simon \u2013 and his grazed head \u2013 returned the following day.<\/p>\n

Singer James seriously impressed the judges as he performed Defying Gravity from Wicked.<\/p>\n

Stacey said that she thought her kids were talented before she saw James. Alesha Dixon had tears in her eyes. Amanda Holden looked stunned by his talent. And even KSI agreed that he should sail through to the semi-finals.<\/p>\n

Giving James four yeses, the panel sent the beaming pre-teen through to the next round. However, viewers at home were quick to complain that surely his stunning performance was worthy of the Golden Buzzer.<\/p>\n

\nGolden Buzzer backlash<\/p>\n

Complaints were soon levelled at the judges as James was left Golden Buzzer-less.<\/p>\n

\u201cJames should have got the golden buzzer for that. Gorgeous voice,\u201d said one. \u201cAnyone else think James should of maybe gotten the golden buzzer so incredible,\u201d said a second.<\/p>\n

One act did get a Golden Buzzer tonight, though. Amanda Holden felt compelled to use hers after a performance by The Hawkstone Farmers Choir.<\/p>\n

\u201cAbsolutely amazing well done all. Such a worthy Golden Buzzer,\u201d said one viewer. Not everyone felt the same, though, with one complaining: \u201cAn average choir at best. Hardly Golden Buzzer worthy.\u201d<\/p>\n
