\n\tBarry Keoghan<\/a> recently told SiriusXM\u2019s \u201cThe Morning Mash Up\u201d (via EW<\/a>) that the online \u201cabuse\u201d about his appearance has gotten so bad that he no longer wants to \u201cgo outside.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of hate online,\u201d Keoghan explained. \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of abuse of how I look, and it\u2019s kind of past the point of \u2014 you know, everyone goes through that\u2026 but it\u2019s made me shy away. It\u2019s made me really go inside myself, not want to attend places, not want to go outside.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe added, \u201cI say this being absolute pure and honest to you. It\u2019s becoming a problem.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tKeoghan explained that he\u2019s removed himself from social media, but occasionally, after a premiere or event, he will go online to see \u201chow it\u2019s received.\u201d Unfortunately, he said most of the time, the reaction is \u201cnot nice.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen responding to a question about finding peace in his private life, the \u201cSaltburn\u201d star said, \u201cI don\u2019t have to hide away \u2019cause I am hiding away\u2026 I actually don\u2019t go to places because of these things.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tKeoghan added that he fears the anxieties about his appearance could affect his career. \u201cWhen that starts leaking into your art, it becomes a problem, because then you don\u2019t want to even be on screen anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe also worries about what his young son, Brando, will think when he\u2019s old enough to read the online hate for himself.<\/p>\n
