Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer share a genuine, long-term friendship <\/p>\n
Sunday Brunch <\/a>hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer boast a genuine, enduring friendship that goes beyond their on-screen collaboration.<\/p>\n They first started working together in 2006 on the BBC<\/a> Two programme Something for the Weekend. They remained on the show for six years before it was axed.<\/p>\n Following the cancellation, the pair later transitioned to Channel 4<\/a> to launch Sunday Brunch, <\/a>which premiered on 25 March 2012. They have continued to co-host this programme together up until the present day.<\/p>\n The television presenters are one of the UK’s longest-standing television partnerships, having collaborated for nearly two decades. When questioned if the pair had ever fallen out during an appearance on The Hairy Bikers Heart and Sole podcast in 2021, Simon confessed: “Yeah, of course you do.<\/p>\n “We don’t take each other seriously, but we take what we do seriously. I always think that’s a nice way to be as a human being.”<\/p>\n When asked if there had been any memorable fallouts, he reminisced: “The thing is, in the 15 years we’ve worked together, we’ve never had a serious falling out.”<\/p>\n The TV personality went on to explain that the reason for the occasional disagreement is typically over trivial matters. He said: “Sometimes he might say something live and I’ll think, I really didn’t want my family to know that.”<\/p>\n Simon Rimmer’s private life Simon prefers to keep his private life away from the spotlight(Image: Channel 4)<\/p>\n Despite being in the public eye, Simon prefers to keep his personal life out of the spotlight. Even though he has been married since 1996, Simon and his wife Ali generally avoid public appearances together, choosing to preserve their privacy.<\/p>\n The on-screen star recently took fans by surprise at the 2024 Golden Chopsticks Awards when he turned up alongside his other half in May.<\/p>\n Having been married for the past three decades, Simon and his wife Ali first crossed paths when they were waiting tables together, long before his television success. He told The Mirror: “It’s horrendous. It’s been really hard. I’ve never got used to not being around my children.
