This is another
\nincident that will leave the British Jewish community increasingly unsettled
\nand fearful with this arson attack in the heart of Jewish London.<\/p>\n

The Community Security
\nTrust, an organisation which helps protect the UK Jewish community, referenced
\nrecent attacks in Belgium and Holland where there were explosions in the last
\nfew weeks against Jewish buildings.<\/p>\n

A synagogue in Liege
\nin Belgium was damaged by an explosion as well as a Jewish school in Amsterdam
\nand a synagogue in Rotterdam. <\/p>\n

The Israeli foreign
\nministry said a new Islamist organisation had said it was responsible. Dutch
\nofficials said they were investigating whether Iran was involved.<\/p>\n

But even before the
\nwar in Iran, the British Jewish community has faced increasing antisemitic
\nattacks. <\/p>\n

Two synagogue worshippers were killed when Heaton Park synagogue in
\nManchester was attacked last year on the Jewish festival of Yom Kippur. <\/p>\n

In
\nFebruary, three men were jailed after an \u201cIsis-inspired plot\u201d in Manchester that
\npolice said could have been the “UK\u2019s most deadly terror attack”.<\/p>\n

Two Iranian
\nmen were charged last week with alleged surveillance of Jewish synagogues and
\nbuildings in London last year.<\/p>\n

That
\nis in addition to antisemitism in schools, universities and the NHS that
\nincreasing numbers have faced which are also being investigated by the
