An update on Hull FC duo Aidan Sezer and Yusuf Aydin.<\/p>\n

Hull FC are set to be without club captain Aidan Sezer for \u2018up to six weeks\u2019 with a pec injury. The Black and Whites skipper suffered the injury during training in the lead up to Sunday\u2019s game against Leeds Rhinos and while an exact prognosis is still to be determined, a mid-term spell on the sidelines is expected.<\/p>\n

Thankfully, Sezer\u2019s injury doesn\u2019t require surgery, with the half-back able to rehab his pec at the club’s University of Hull<\/a> base before making a hoped comeback sometime in May depending on how he fares over the next few weeks.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s too early to say, but be doesn’t need an operation,\u201d Cartwright said when asked for a timeline by Hull Live. \u201cIt could be anywhere up to six weeks. We’ll just go week by week with him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hull – who have been training on grass this month – were also dealt a second training ground injury during the week, with middle forward Yusuf Aydin rolling his ankle. And while a timeframe is yet to emerge, Cartwright said the roll was pretty \u2018bad.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cHe’s just rolled his ankle,\u201d the head coach confirmed. \u201cIt was an innocuous sort of thing. It happened at training. He rolled it pretty bad. We’re not sure yet (on the timeframe), but once they are symptom free, we’ll get them back on the paddock.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cartwright also confirmed the initial expectation is no fresh injuries have arisen from Sunday\u2019s win over Leeds, with the Black and Whites running out 24-16 winners after tries from Jake Arthur, Ligi Sao, and Davy Litten, not to mention six Zak Hardaker goals.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe’ll know more tomorrow,\u201d Cartwright added. \u201cBut the early signs are good. We don\u2019t get anyone back next week (for Catalans Dragons). We\u2019ll go with what we\u2019ve got.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hull were missing nine players for the game against the Rhinos, with Sezer and Aydin joined on the sidelines by Will Pryce (ACL), Harvey Barron (ankle), Herman Ese\u2019ese (Achilles), Jed Cartwright (hamstring), Joe Batchelor (calf), Ryan Westerman (foot), and Joe Ward (ACL).<\/p>\n
