Windrose Technology has recorded its fastest-ever charging session in the UK, following a demonstration of its E700 eHGV using Voltempo\u2019s Megawatt-scale HyperCharger.<\/p>\n
During a tour of the UK, Windrose E700 achieved charging speeds of 600kW using Voltempo\u2019s HyperCharger, operating at 745 amps.<\/p>\n
The session marks a new UK benchmark for the company and highlights the growing capability of high-power charging infrastructure to support the electrification of road freight, it claimed.<\/p>\n
The ability to deliver high power at scale is seen as a critical enabler for decarbonising long-haul logistics, where vehicle uptime and turnaround times are key operational factors, it added.<\/p>\n
Representatives from Windrose, including Wen Han and Justin Yu, attended the session and shared insights into the company\u2019s vision for fleet electrification and the role of high-performance charging in accelerating adoption across the freight sector.<\/p>\n
According to Windrose data \u2013 verified by Voltempo \u2013 over a 42-minute period, the E700 received 352kWh of electricity, equating to over 250 miles of range.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the fastest charging we\u2019ve seen in the UK. Charging at that speed is incredible. Truck drivers must stop every 4.5 hours, for 45 minutes, and in that time you can add around 270 miles.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou simply can\u2019t drive that distance in the next four hours at an average of 56 mph. In effect, you\u2019re charging faster than you can use the energy.<\/p>\n
