{"id":492745,"date":"2026-03-24T14:45:14","date_gmt":"2026-03-24T14:45:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/492745\/"},"modified":"2026-03-24T14:45:14","modified_gmt":"2026-03-24T14:45:14","slug":"barbies-containing-fentanyl-inside-packaging-sold","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/492745\/","title":{"rendered":"Barbies containing fentanyl inside packaging sold"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>INDEPENDENCE, Mo. \u2014 A suspected fentanyl contamination inside Barbie doll packaging prompted a police investigation in Missouri after a customer discovered a white powder substance, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/IndepMoPolice\/posts\/pfbid0jFkspvbBCJNZrzBmncCZiqFtj3WfpZTAPv2m387SyQV8L98et8yks8ZgcL2grAEcl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">authorities said.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><p>Barbies containing fentanyl inside packaging sold (KCTV, INDEPENDENCE POLICE DEPARTMENT, CNN via CNN Newsource)<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Independence police said officers were called after store security reported the suspicious substance. Tests indicated the powder was fentanyl.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators said the packaging appeared to have been tampered with, with the substance taped inside the back of the packaging, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kctv5.com\/2026\/03\/21\/police-locate-all-barbies-sold-with-contaminated-packaging-independence-store\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">KCTV<\/a>.
