Floyd Mayweather has established himself as a modern pound-for-pound standout, but in the eyes of former prot\u00e9g\u00e9 Gervonta Davis<\/a>, there are only two comparable greats in the entirety of boxing history.<\/p>\n

Davis signed a promotional deal with Mayweather back in 2015, before he won a world title, and \u2018Tank\u2019 went on to a three-division world champion under the tutelage of \u2018TBE\u2019, until their split in 2022.<\/p>\n

To this day, Davis is yet to conquer another division, meaning he remains two weights behind when compared to five-division ruler Mayweather, who dominated boxing between super-featherweight and super-welterweight to become boxing\u2019s fourth quintuple champion.<\/p>\n

Now, Mayweather is eyeing up further success, having announced a professional comeback nine years after his initial retirement, as he prepares for a rematch with pound-for-pound rival Manny Pacquiao, whom he trumped back in 2015<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Although, it is unlikely that Mayweather will pursue world honours in a sixth division, with his rematch with \u2018Pac Man\u2019 expected to take place at welterweight.<\/p>\n

Regardless, when analysing the career of his former mentor, Davis told BatBoysBaseball<\/a> that only Muhammad Ali<\/a> and Mike Tyson<\/a> are on his level of greatness \u2013 making the 50-0 superstar the greatest non-heavyweight in boxing history in the eyes of the Baltimore-born phenomenon.<\/p>\n

The fight against Pacquiao is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 19<\/a>, but Mayweather had also been scheduled for an exhibition contest against fellow legend, Mike Tyson<\/a>, along with one against Greek kickboxer Mike Zambidis.<\/p>\n
