An iconic movie villain from films Fargo and The Big Lebowski\u00a0looked unrecognizable on a rare outing in Beverly Hills this week.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Swedish-born star, 72, has worked with a number of celebrities over the years such as Jeff Bridges<\/a>, Julianne Moore<\/a>, Keanu Reeves<\/a>, Johnny Depp<\/a> and Ben Affleck<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He made his professional acting debut in the late 70s while appearing in the Swedish crime<\/a> film The Score.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The actor gained further recognition when he took on the role of a criminal in a 90s movie directed by brothers Joel and Ethan Coen.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He has additionally taken on voice acting gigs in a variety of video games such as the Call of Duty franchise, Destiny, Until Dawn and Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

He sported a short-sleeved, black shirt as well as a pair of black Adidas track pants and a white cap.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

A brace was seen on his left leg as he made his way through a crowded parking lot during the lowkey excursion.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Stormare is preparing to host a special screening of the iconic film Fargo on April 14 in celebration of its 30th anniversary\u00a0at the Fargo Theatre.<\/p>\n

Upon the movie’s release in theaters in March 1996, it garnered critical acclaim as well as numerous accolades.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fargo raked in seven Academy Award nominations, winning for Best Actress (McDormand) as well as Best Original Screenplay for Joel and Ethan Coen.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Stormare previously opened up about his role in the film and explained that the character was based off of two people that the Coen brothers knew.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘My character was built on two guys from their younger days,’ the star shared, per the HuffPost<\/a>.<\/p>\n

‘They took one’s first name and the second one’s second name. I was told that the character always smoked – didn’t say much at all, could even fall asleep with a cig in his mouth.’<\/p>\n

He added, ‘Tried hard to fulfill all their requirements… but I did throw up a few times – especially in that famous bar-scene in the beginning. Geez – I was soooo sick!’\u00a0<\/p>\n

Following his role in Fargo, Stormare appeared in other projects such as The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), Armageddon (1998), The Big Lebowski (1998), Chocolat (2000) and Bad Boys II (2003).\u00a0<\/p>\n

In 2005, the actor portrayed the role of Lucifer in Constantine – which also starred Keanu Reeves and Rachel Weisz.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A sequel is currently in the works, but Stormare recently revealed last year during an interview with Collider<\/a> that Reeves is not thrilled over the scripts.<\/p>\n

‘It’s a lot of back and forth, because… I think Keanu [Reeves], which I know pretty good, is not so happy with the scripts and usually what comes out of the studios,’ he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘You don’t have to add a lot of action and shootouts,’ Stormare continued. ‘You have other movies.<\/p>\n

‘Don’t turn it into big Marvel… [Don’t turn it] into us flying around in harnesses all the time and shooting each other up. Don’t bring in the big guns. Let it be.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to his official IMDB page<\/a>, Stormare is reprising his role as Lucifer in the sequel – although cast details have yet to be confirmed.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
