As of today, 47 Meters Down director Johannes Roberts\u2019 latest creature feature, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comingsoon.net\/tag\/primate\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Primate<\/a>, is now officially available to stream on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comingsoon.net\/tag\/paramount-plus\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Paramount+<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>What do we know about Troy Kotsur\u2019s Primate movie?<\/p>\n<p>During its theatrical run, Primate grossed over $41 million at the global box office against its reported budget of around $21-24 million. The film was directed by Roberts, who co-wrote the screenplay with Ernest Riera. The cast includes Johnny Sequoyah (Dexter: New Blood), Jessica Alexander (The Little Mermaid), Victoria Wyant (Foundation), Gia Hunter (Chloe), Benjamin Cheng, Charlie Mann (Lazarus), Tienne Simon (All the Devils Are Here), and Miguel Torres Umba (Institute). Following its world premiere at the 2025 Fantastic Fest, the R-rated horror movie has received a Certified Fresh rating of 78% on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rottentomatoes.com\/m\/primate_2025\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>, based on 195 reviews.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLucy\u2019s tropical island homecoming was supposed to be beaches and best friends\u2014not a fight for her life. When her family\u2019s exceptionally clever chimp spirals into a savage, rabid frenzy, the night explodes into terrifying chaos,\u201d reads the official synopsis. \u201cWith her father away and no help coming, paradise becomes a prison as Lucy and her friends fight to survive a deadly predator they once trusted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Executive producers were Roberts, Pete Chiappetta, Vicki Dee Rock, Andrew Lary, Nathan Samdahl, and Anthony Tittanegro.
