Harry Maguire would \u201clove\u201d to stay at Manchester United<\/a> – but wants assurances over his playing time.<\/p>\n United veteran Maguire,<\/a> 33, is out of contract in the summer and has held talks about staying at Old Trafford. But Maguire has admitted that he will only commit himself to a new deal if he believes he will remain a first choice for the duration of the contract.<\/p>\n United are keen to tie down Maguire to a one year deal with the option for another 12 months while they are close to agreeing new terms for Kobbie Mainoo<\/a>.<\/p>\n But Maguire said: \u201cI think we\u2019ll reach an agreement where it\u2019s best for the club and myself. What that agreement is, I\u2019m sure you\u2019ll find out over the next few weeks. But yeah, I think it\u2019ll get sorted sooner rather than later, whether I stay or leave. But I think it will \u2013 it should \u2013 get sorted pretty soon.<\/p>\n \u201cI love this club. But it\u2019s got to be right for myself, it\u2019s got to be right for the club as well. And if that\u2019s the case, then I\u2019m sure we\u2019ll sit down and reach something.\u201d<\/p>\n When asked what it would take to convince him to stay, Maguire added: \u201cYeah, playing games and helping the team on and off the pitch. I don\u2019t want to be not feeling important.<\/p>\n \u201cI want to be important to the club.
