\n Day-trippers and residents taking in the views around Walton’s Naze Tower were shocked to see the boars walking near the Tower Cafe.\n<\/p>\n
\n According to residents, the boars were peaceful and minded their own business before the police were called to capture them.\n<\/p>\n

\n Arlo Woodland, who was enjoying the Naze at the time, said “The boar didn\u2019t bother us – we were on a dog walk and it just casually walked past us.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It roamed around the Naze Tower grounds for a while.\n<\/p>\n
\n “A police car on blue lights came to the scene and we believed there was a police helicopter out as well.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Susanne Bakula, who was visiting Walton for the first time, said: “The boars were friendly and minding their own business.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It was a very strange sight to see – very unexpected!\n<\/p>\n
\n “I believed they escaped from the farm nearby but it was not long before the police arrived to return them home again.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Police officers were called to the scene and managed to retrieve the animals.\n<\/p>\n
\n An Essex Police spokesperson said: “We were alerted to reports of four boars having left a field and walking close to a caf\u00e9 near to the Naze Tower in Walton shortly before 1pm on Saturday.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Officers quickly located the animals and worked with the landowner to make sure they were safely returned to their field.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Thankfully, no damage was caused by the animals and no injuries were caused to members of the public.”\n<\/p>\n
