\n The golf course is no longer in operation so James’ wife, Helen Couch, decided to launch her own events business – The Greens – on the site.\n<\/p>\n
\n The site is designed to be adaptable and enables organisers to create bespoke experiences – whether through tipis, marquees or temporary structures, she explained.\n<\/p>\n
\n It contains large open areas, tree-lined edges, expansive views and sheltered corners.\n<\/p>\n
\n On-site facilities include parking for up to 100 guests and on site toilets and mains water and electricity and the area is available for hire throughout the year.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cWe wanted to bring this beautiful space back into use and give people the opportunity to create their own events in a relaxed countryside setting,” said Helen.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It had previously operated as Waldringfield Golf Club, but was no longer viable to continue as a golf course, so part of the land was later sold and rewilded, while the upstairs of the clubhouse was converted into offices.\n<\/p>\n
\n “The remaining 10 acres have largely stood unused while other projects took priority, and it felt a real shame to leave such a lovely setting empty.\n<\/p>\n
\n “After researching demand for outdoor venues and seeing how popular flexible event spaces have become, we decided to open the land as a dry hire venue.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Long-term the aim is to reinvest hire income to complete the clubhouse renovation for indoor event hire, she said.\n<\/p>\n
\n But the current outdoor site offers organisers the freedom to create their own events.\n<\/p>\n
