\n\tAlthough the fan reaction to HBO<\/a>\u2018s first Harry Potter<\/a> teaser has largely been divided, J.K. Rowling<\/a> has given her seal of approval.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Thursday, the author said she\u2019s \u201cso happy\u201d with the teaser trailer<\/a> for the series adaptation of her young adult fantasy novels, sharing her reaction to the first look with fans on social media. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s going to be incredible,\u201d exclaimed Rowling on X<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m so happy with it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tRowling\u2019s tweet came in response to a fan who said the teaser \u201clooks bloody marvelous,\u201d adding: \u201cI cannot wait, and as it seems to me, neither can the rest of the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAt least part of the world would disagree, with some slamming the lack of color and stylization in comparison to the Harry Potter movies, which were released from 2001 to 2011.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cDespite it being a fantasy series sourced from PG children novels nothing about this trailer (color grading, no actual magic shown, lack of whimsy, set design, etc.) is indicative of something that\u2019s marketed at children,\u201d one person wrote on X<\/a>. \u201cOn the other hand it\u2019s perfect for infantilized adults.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSeveral have complained about the race-swapping of Severus Snape with actor Paapa Essiedu, who recently revealed he\u2019s gotten racially-motivated death threats<\/a> over his casting.<\/p>\n
