\n The MP for Runcorn and Helsby headed to Numark\u2019s site on the Whitehouse Industrial Estate, where she met staff and was given\u00a0an insight into operations at its distribution\u00a0facilities and head office.\n<\/p>\n
\n Numark is the UK\u2019s largest community pharmacy membership organisation with over 6,000 members\n<\/p>\n
\n During her visit, the Reform MP also met with chairman Harry McQuillan and senior members of the Numark team to discuss key issues affecting the industry.\n<\/p>\n
\n She also visited Medipac, Numark\u2019s in-house manufacturing and packing operation, to see how essential medicines and healthcare products are prepared for community pharmacies across the UK.\n<\/p>\n
\n A spokeswoman for Numark said the tour provided an opportunity for \u2018detailed discussions\u2019 on the challenges and opportunities facing the sector, including the role of pharmaceutical wholesalers, along with other issues.\n<\/p>\n
\n Mr McQuillan welcomed the visit, noting what he said was \u2018the importance of constructive dialogue\u2019 between policy makers\u00a0and the pharmacy sector to ensure patients continue to receive accessible, high-quality care.\n<\/p>\n
\n He said, \u201cWe\u2019d like to thank Sarah Pochin MP for taking the time to meet with the team and for her interest in supporting the long-term sustainability of community pharmacy.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
