The 58-year-old shared the positive update during Friday’s Heart Radio Breakfast, where she joined co-host Jamie Theakston to discuss their respective health battles.<\/p>\n

She revealed: “I had a check yesterday, I also got scanxiety, and they were very pleased to tell me there was nothing there.”<\/p>\n

Both presenters acknowledged experiencing anxiety before medical appointments, with Mr Theakston admitting he had recently convinced himself his cancer had returned.<\/p>\n

Ms McCall’s breast cancer diagnosis came in October 2025, arriving almost exactly two years after she learned of her brain tumour.<\/p>\n

The discovery proved particularly devastating as she had undergone a mammogram just two months earlier in August.<\/p>\n

“It felt like being punched in the face by the universe,” she said. <\/p>\n

“I just thought like, what? I was just beginning to feel myself again.”<\/p>\n

The presenter had spent much of 2025 recovering from surgery to remove a colloid cyst, a rare benign tumour discovered during a health check connected to her menopause advocacy work.<\/p>\n

She described the period as difficult both personally and for her relationship with husband Michael Douglas, noting the strain the consecutive health crises placed on them as a couple.<\/p>\n

“I found a lump myself and I had had a mammogram in the August and it was in October I found a lump, so don’t just think, ‘I had a mammogram recently, it can’t be that’, it could be,” she warned.<\/p>\n

The presenter stressed that checking takes minimal time but could prove life-saving.<\/p>\n

“If you’ve got something, go and get it looked at, it takes seconds,” she urged listeners.<\/p>\n

Her message served as a reminder that vigilance between scheduled screenings remains essential for early detection.<\/p>\n

The health battles have fundamentally altered Ms McCall’s outlook on mortality, leading to what she describes as a liberating shift in perspective.<\/p>\n

“No, I couldn’t face that now no. I wanted to see my kids grow up and see my grandchildren and there were so many more things that I wanted to do,” he explained.<\/p>\n
