\n SandWorld at Lodmoor Country Park in Weymouth\u00a0is set to reopen today, Saturday, March 28 – and this year\u2019s opening day comes with a very special guest.\n<\/p>\n
\n Weymouth\u2019s very own James Baker, finalist from hit BBC show The Traitors, will be joining the team to celebrate the start of the new season.\n<\/p>\n
\n The Traitors is a psychological reality gameshow set in a castle where a group of contestants must work together to build a prize pot while secretly trying to identify and eliminate hidden \u2018traitors\u2019 among them.\n<\/p>\n

\n James will be appearing at SandWorld from 10.30am to 12.30pm, giving visitors the chance to meet him in person, snap a photo and be part of the excitement.\n<\/p>\n
\n James is a 38\u2011year\u2011old gardener from Weymouth who appeared as a faithful on season 4 of BBC\u2019s The Traitors, making it all the way to the final.\n<\/p>\n
\n To mark the occasion, a brand-new sand sculpture inspired by his Traitors journey will be officially unveiled on the day.\n<\/p>\n
\n Co-founder Mark Anderson said: \u201cWe\u2019re really excited to welcome James to SandWorld for our opening day. As a local lad who\u2019s done incredibly well, it feels very special to celebrate his journey with a sculpture and invite the community to come and be part of it.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n Visitors are encouraged to grab their cloaks, gather their fellow faithful\u2019s and come along for a fun and memorable start to the season.\n<\/p>\n

\n SandWorld transforms over 2,000 tonnes of Weymouth sand, the equivalent of 1,290 cars, into an incredible display of 17 giant sculptures, all created using just sand and water.\n<\/p>\n
\n Known for its exceptionally fine 0.15mm grain, Weymouth\u2019s sand is considered among the best in the world for sculpting, allowing artists to achieve remarkable detail and scale.\n<\/p>\n
\n As always, SandWorld offers visitors of all ages the chance to get creative and give the craft a go themselves by creating their very own sand sculptures.\n<\/p>\n
