Britain has already moved in the same direction \u2014 tightening quotas on steel imports and raising tariffs above those quotas to 50 percent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause of global overcapacities, we have to adopt <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MarosSefcovic\/status\/2037820925006033033\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MarosSefcovic\/status\/2037820925006033033\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">different safeguard measures<\/a>,\u201d said \u0160ef\u010dovi\u010d. \u201cAmericans did it. Canadians followed. We had to adopt our safeguard measures to simply save our steel industry.
