Project Hail Mary is already being hailed (boooooo!!) as the type of cinematic experience currently reserved for superhero movies and big franchises. Those types of blockbusters usually require some prior planning. For example, does Project Hail Mary<\/a> have a post-credits scene? The people want answers!<\/p>\n

The Ryan Gosling science fiction adventure film from the directors of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is 156 minutes long, well over two and a half hours. I don\u2019t blame you for wanting to know if you have to stay any longer than that. It\u2019s a big commitment!<\/p>\n

Should I stay for the Project Hail Mary credits?<\/p>\n

There is not a scene in the middle or at the end of the Project Hail Mary credits. I repeat: there is no post-credits scene in Project Hail Mary. There isn\u2019t even a blooper reel. If I may offer one note? Maybe we should have gotten a blooper reel.<\/p>\n

However, if you do stick around, you will get to see the MGM Lion make some cute Eridian noises like Rocky (the lovable alien in the movie), instead of his signature roar, at the very end. That\u2019s kind of cute, right? I believe he\u2019s saying goodbye and thank you. Throughout the credits, you can also take a look at real astrophotography courtesy of photographer Rod Prazeres<\/a>. The filmmakers opted to use his work instead of using CGI or AI-generated images of deep space. So cool!<\/p>\n

I will say that the credits were weirdly shorter than I expected, considering that this is a movie with a lot of special effects. (Not Rocky, though! That lil\u2019 guy is a puppet.) So, even though I was hanging out in the theater for research purposes, the time flew.<\/p>\n
