The Ospreys’ chances of reaching the United Rugby Championship play-offs took a huge dent as they were edged out 21-14 by Connacht in Galway.<\/a><\/p>\n Tries from Shamus Hurley-Langton (twice) and Devine, along with six points from Sean Naughton, got Stuart Lancaster’s side over the line. Daniel Kasende and Luke Morgan scored the Ospreys’ tries while Dan Edwards kicked four points.<\/p>\n Here are the Ospreys player ratings.<\/p>\n 15. Jack Walsh 7<\/p>\n This was another tidy performance from the Australian whose neat passing game helped unlock the Connacht defence on a couple of occasions.<\/p>\n Walsh was also solid in defence.<\/p>\n 14. Daniel Kasende 8<\/p>\n The Ospreys’ best player.<\/p>\n Kasende was a constant threat out wide while he was also strong under the high-ball and when carrying.<\/p>\n Scored the Ospreys’ first try out wide.<\/p>\n 13. Evardi Boshoff 7<\/p>\n The South African centre made some key defensive reads and broke the Connacht line on a couple of occasions.<\/p>\n Boshoff’s distribution was also good and he carried well<\/p>\n 12. Keiran Williams 7<\/p>\n It was another all-action performance from the Ospreys centre.<\/p>\n Williams carried the game well; his footwork and power helped his side over the gain-line.<\/p>\n 11. Luke Morgan 8<\/p>\n The once-capped Wales international had a fine game.<\/p>\n Morgan was excellent under the high ball and looked very dangerous throughout.<\/p>\n 10. Dan Edwards 7<\/p>\n The Wales playmaker kicked very well and was a huge threat with ball in hand slicing Connacht open on a couple of occasions.<\/p>\n But he will rue his pass that drifted forward to Morgan, which cost the Ospreys<\/a> a try.<\/p>\n 9. Luke Davies 6<\/p>\n The 24-year-old has slick service, and he also kicked well.<\/p>\n Davies was a threat with ball in hand but missed a couple of tackles late in the game when Connacht were on top.<\/p>\n 8. Morgan Morse 7<\/p>\n The talented backrower put in a big shift getting over the gainline in his 16 carries while he also made 11 tackles.<\/p>\n Morse’s work rate was relentless, and he finished as the top carrier.<\/p>\n 7. Jac Morgan 8<\/p>\n It was a typically industrious performance from the Wales star who made 12 carries and finished the game as the top tackler with 16.<\/p>\n Morgan also won two turnovers but blotted his copybook when he got sent to the sin bin late on.<\/p>\n 6. James Ratti 6<\/p>\n The powerful backrower got through a huge amount of unseen work.<\/p>\n He carried well and provided a physical presence in the backrow.<\/p>\n 5. Huw Sutton 6<\/p>\n Sutton is a workhorse who put in a big shift making 15 tackles while he also carried well.<\/p>\n But he has to take some responsibility for the Ospreys messing up some key lineout in the first-half.<\/p>\n 4. Rhys Davies 6<\/p>\n The Wales international worked hard especially in defence while his physicality is a big plus point for this Ospreys side.<\/p>\n 3. Rhys Henry 8<\/p>\n Henry scrummaged very well, with the Ospreys having the Connacht scrum on toast at times.<\/p>\n He also worked hard around the park making seven tackles.<\/p>\n 2.
