\u201cThrough ArrayRx, Arizonans can get discounted drugs through its discount card program, which can save them up to 80% for generic drugs,\u201d Hobbs said. \u201cCoverage includes all FDA-approved prescriptions and discounts on over-the-counter medications and supplies for things like diabetes testing.\u201d<\/p>\n
The program offers savings of up to 18% for name-brand drugs. <\/p>\n
How will ArrayRx work for Arizonans?<\/p>\n
Members can compare prices and search pharmacies online.<\/p>\n
\u201cArrayRx is free to join with no enrollment or membership dues for users and no transaction or marketing fees for participating pharmacies,\u201d Hobbs said.<\/p>\n
Unlike similar discount prescription card programs, ArrayRx doesn\u2019t sell user data.<\/p>\n
The consortium currently consists of Oregon, Washington, Nevada and Connecticut. <\/p>\n
\u201cThis will provide Arizona a seat at the negotiating table when it comes to the price of prescription drugs,\u201d Hobbs said.<\/p>\n
The program can serve as a backstop for people who lose their insurance or those who have gaps in their current coverage. <\/p>\n
\u201cThis prescription drug discount card program is another tool for Arizonans\u2019 tool chest,\u201d Dana Marie Kennedy, AARP Arizona state director, said during Wednesday\u2019s rollout. \u201cIt\u2019s more than a program; it\u2019s a lifeline.\u201d<\/p>\n
