On the “Ramsey Everyday Millionaires<\/a>” YouTube channel, a caller named Eunice told Ramsey her 50-year-old husband wants to step away from his corporate job and shift into something lighter, possibly teaching part-time while managing their investments.<\/p>\n Eunice told Ramsey her husband works as a computer programmer and believes he’s ready to retire. What the husband described sounded less like retirement and more like a career shift.<\/p>\n “He says retire, you hear quit and blow all our money,” Ramsey said. “Then he says retire and he means he wants to start a different career.”<\/p>\n That distinction mattered. With $3.8 million, Ramsey made it clear the couple wasn’t in financial danger\u2014but confusion around purpose was driving the tension.<\/p>\n When Eunice said her husband wanted to manage their investments<\/a> as his new focus, Ramsey shut that idea down quickly.<\/p>\n “It does not take a full-time job to manage $3.8 million,” Ramsey said. “Not even close.
