Greater Manchester Police has issued an update on a pub assault in Irlam after a man was seriously injured<\/a> in the early hours of this morning, Sunday, March 29. Three arrests have now been made in connection with the incident<\/p>\n The assault occurred at around 2:40am, when an altercation involving several men took place outside the pub. And don’t miss out on our brilliant selection of newsletters HERE.<\/a><\/p>\n Detective Chief Inspector Helen Bagnall, from the Salford<\/a> district, said: \u201cThis is a shocking incident and our thoughts are firmly with the victim and his family during this extremely difficult time.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are working at pace and remain absolutely committed to identifying everyone involved and bringing those responsible to justice.<\/p>\n \u201cThree arrests have been made in connection with this incident, and we are continuing to appeal for further information.<\/p>\n \u201cOfficers remain committed to understand the full circumstances and are urging anyone with information to come forward to support our investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n The Manchester Evening News understands the man was punched and kicked to the head during the incident but that it is not believed any weapons were used. Eyewitnesses this morning said a cordon was in place<\/a> outside Dessie’s Place on Liverpool Road.<\/p>\n
