Wigan Warriors boss Matt Peet believes his side were outplayed in every area this afternoon after a shock defeat to Huddersfield Giants.<\/p>\n

The table-topping Warriors were second best against the bottom of the table Giants<\/a>, who produced a stellar performance to pull off one of the biggest upsets of the season so far.<\/p>\n

The returning duo of Niall Evalds and Adam Clune produced a masterclass to help their side, who are still without a coach after Luke Robinson\u2019s sacking.<\/p>\n

Peet\u2019s men managed to cross for three tries in the match, but it would not be enough to take the two points, in one of Wigan\u2019s worst displays under their current boss.<\/p>\n

Losing out 34-16, Peet spoke to Sky Sports to assess the defeat, and said few words, highlighting his disappointment.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were poor, others were very good, and we got exactly what we deserved,\u201d said a frustrated Wigan boss.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe got a lesson in the first half of the York game that you only need to be a little bit off,\u00a0and we were hoping to get a more sustained performance than the York one,\u00a0and we actually got a worse one.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe didn\u2019t ever put together either good enough attacking to defence or vice versa,\u00a0so today we were way off.<\/p>\n

Showing respect to their victorious opponents, the boss said: \u201cThey beat us up. They beat us physically, they beat us in terms of kicking game,\u00a0and I thought they were more intelligent than us sometimes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were making efforts as individuals\u00a0or trying to shortcut the game, and they didn\u2019t do that. They had a plan, they stuck to it,\u00a0and credit to them. They\u2019ve had a tough year, and they deserve the win today.\u201d<\/p>\n
