Following the departure<\/a> of former girlfriend Eileen Grimshaw<\/a> (Sue Cleaver<\/a>), Coronation Street\u2019s George Shuttleworth<\/a> (Tony Maudsley<\/a>) has been left pining for his lost love.<\/p>\n

Sister Glenda (Jodie Prenger<\/a>), however, suggests her brother throw himself back into the dating pool, advising him to give a dating app a try.<\/p>\n

Their conversation was interrupted, though, as Jenny Connor<\/a> (Sally Ann Matthews<\/a>), who clearly has designs on the beloved undertaker, seeks his help with a burst pipe in the Kabin, rewarding him with dinner.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s later dismayed, however, when Glenda reveals that she\u2019s set her brother up with a dating app account.<\/p>\n

After treating himself to some trendy new threads, George visits Glenda at No.11.<\/p>\n

While there, Glenda questions the new attire, leading George to sheepishly admit to her that he\u2019s scored a date using the app!<\/p>\n

He\u2019s arranged a date with a lady called Samantha, that night in the Rovers.<\/p>\n

As the mystery lady arrives for the date, Glenda is taken aback to recognise Samantha as her old primary school friend.<\/p>\n

As the two excitedly pull each other in for a hug and delve into catching up, poor George is left out in the cold.<\/p>\n

Is this the beginning and the end of his foray into the world of online dating?<\/p>\n
