Everton are in talks with financial services firm CMC Markets as the club explores potential shirt sponsors for next season.<\/p>\n
The club\u2019s existing deal with Stake will expire at the end of the current campaign, after which Premier League<\/a> clubs have agreed to stop carrying gambling firms as front of shirt sponsors.<\/p>\n The Blues are said to be looking into multiple options as they seek to build on the commercial partnerships already established since the club\u2019s move to Hill Dickinson Stadium.<\/p>\n FOLLOW OUR EVERTON FC FACEBOOK PAGE! The company is a London-based outfit that provides trading and spread betting services. It also has offices around the world, including in Germany, Singapore and Australia and is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. It is run by Lord Cruddas, who was once the treasurer of the Conservative Party<\/a>. CMC Markets is reportedly also in similar talks with Fulham.<\/p>\n Any deal would likely be worth tens of millions over the course of a multi-year arrangement.<\/p>\n Everton<\/a> agreed their existing deal with Stake, pitched by the club as the biggest shirt sponsorship deal in its history, in 2022.<\/p>\n Last year the global online casino and sports betting site closed its UK operation following the launch of an investigation by the Gambling Commission<\/a> into a viral video that bore the company\u2019s logo and featured an adult actress. The commission wrote to Everton to warn of the risks of \u201cpromoting unlawful gambling websites\u201d and stressing the requirement for due diligence to ensure people could not access its site from Great Britain.<\/p>\n The end of the club\u2019s deal with the company will come with almost a dozen clubs scrambling to secure new shirt sponsors as they seek to replace partnerships with gambling firms.<\/p>\n
