\n The Rangers Review reported on Sunday that Matondo had attracted interest from Brann after falling out of favour with boss Danny Rohl.\n<\/p>\n
\n Matondo was close to leaving the club at the end of the winter transfer window, but no deal was signed and sealed at that stage. He has made just three appearances this term and spent the second half of last season on loan at Hannover 96.\n<\/p>\n

\n Rangers were beaten by Brann in Rohl\u2019s first match as head coach in October. They sit 14th in the Eliteserien after losing their opening two league matches this season and Matondo will now put pen-to-paper in Norway.\n<\/p>\n
\n It is understood that Rangers won\u2019t receive a fee as part of the deal but could benefit from bonus payments further down the line after coming to an agreement on Matondo\u2019s departure. The Welshman signed a long-term contract when he was recruited by former boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst<\/a> and was not going to be offered an extension this summer.\n<\/p>\n \n Rangers are set to head to Spain on a warm-weather training camp next month as Danny Rohl’s side gears up for the Scottish Premiership<\/a> split fixtures<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n \n The Rangers Review previously reported that plans were underway to capitalise on a free week in mid-April, before the Scottish Cup<\/a> semi-final weekend at Hampden on April 18\/19.\n<\/p>\n \n And the Rangers Review understands that the squad will travel to Spain early in that week with no fixture at Hampden to fulfil following a defeat against Celtic<\/a> in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals earlier this month.\n<\/p>\n \n The uninterrupted training break will be seen as valuable for Rohl and his staff, given they arrived at Ibrox in October and haven’t had a pre-season to work with the squad. The warm-weather camp is viewed as an opportunity to keep fitness high ahead of the final month of the season and work tactically as a group.\n<\/p>\n \n Rohl’s side face Dundee<\/a> United at Ibrox this Saturday before travelling to play Falkirk the following weekend, ahead of the final five matches of the league season.\n<\/p>\n
