The future of Gervonta Davis<\/a> currently remains up in the air but that hasn\u2019t stopped an undefeated fighter from calling him out.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been over a year since \u2018Tank\u2019 was last in action, when he defended his WBA lightweight title in a controversial majority decision draw against Lamont Roach.<\/a><\/p>\n

A planned exhibition with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul was cancelled in November due to legal trouble for Davis, and he was later stripped of his belt and named champion in recess by the WBA.<\/p>\n

A fight between Floyd Schofield and Lucas Bahdi for the vacant WBA title was believed to be targeted for April, but Schofield recently claimed that the fight was cancelled, potentially paving the way for \u2018Kid Austin\u2019 to meet Davis instead.<\/p>\n

Speaking in a social media clip<\/a>, Schofield discussed the current situation, insisting he would be happy to face \u2018Tank\u2019 if it unfolds that way.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs far as April 18, we will be taking the next steps to be fighting for that belt, whether it\u2019s Tank Davis or Lucas Bahdi.<\/p>\n

\u201cLucas I hope you get the right training so we can make the fight happen if that\u2019s possibly next. Tank I hope you get whatever you [need] to get done, because I\u2019m coming for my belt.\u201d<\/p>\n

Schofield has an unbeaten record of 19-0 with 13 wins coming by way of knockout and has been touted for big things in the sport. He had notably been set to face Shakur Stevenson<\/a> for the WBC lightweight title last year before withdrawing from the bout on fight week through illness.<\/p>\n
