{"id":504445,"date":"2026-03-31T02:20:09","date_gmt":"2026-03-31T02:20:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/504445\/"},"modified":"2026-03-31T02:20:09","modified_gmt":"2026-03-31T02:20:09","slug":"wrexham-woman-accused-of-helping-group-smuggling-migrants-to-uk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/504445\/","title":{"rendered":"Wrexham woman accused of helping group smuggling migrants to UK"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A woman has been arrested for allegedly helping a people-smuggling organised crime group by laundering money.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">National Crime Agency officers arrested the 25-year-old woman at a house in Wrexham, along with a 25-year-old man in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, on 30 March.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">French Police arrested a further 16 people in and around Paris in simultaneous raids, supported by colleagues from Europol, Eurojust and Belgian federal police. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">They also discovered 41 migrants, including 11 being housed in one address.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A woman has been arrested for allegedly helping a people-smuggling organised crime group by laundering money.
