Police in Bali are hunting two Scottish gangsters who arrived alongside crime boss Stephen Lyons in Indonesia.<\/p>\n

Steven Larwood and Lewis \u201cWang\u201d are on the run on the island following the arrest of the Lyons kingpin.<\/p>\n

The authorities say the trio arrived on a flight on Saturday, but Lyons claimed that he did not know Larwood and \u201cWang\u201d.<\/p>\n

He claimed the duo just happened to be travelling to Bali, police said.<\/p>\n

Larwood and Wang were not the subject of Interpol Red Notices, however, Spanish law enforcement has informed Indonesia\u2019s National Central Bureau (NCB) Interpol that they are also linked to serious organised crime.<\/p>\n

Brigadier General Untung Widyatmoko said: \u201cWe are still searching for these two individuals because they are not on the red notices. However, based on information from our Spanish colleagues, they are also members of a dangerous criminal group.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Bali Regional Police and Interpol have since issued a warrant for the two Scots.<\/p>\n

Brigadier General Widyatmoko added: \u201cWe\u2019ve also requested information, and I\u2019ve already told Immigration to take action to ban the two. Two are still in Bali, and we\u2019re also monitoring their movements; they haven\u2019t left Bali yet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Investigators believe this is Lyons\u2019 second trip to Bali and that he was assessing the drug trafficking market in the country.<\/p>\n

Indonesian authorities were made of the gang leader\u2019s movements by the Abu Dhabi National Police Agency<\/p>\n

He is expected to be deported to Spain on Wednesday. On Monday, it emerged that Lyons\u2019 partner Amanda Lyons was arrested in Dubai.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Steven Lyons is believed to have been arrested in Dubai last September, along with Ross McGill, Stephen Jamieson and Steven Larwood.<\/p>\n

They were reportedly released in October and ordered to leave the Gulf state immediately.<\/p>\n

Jamieson, 42, was extradited from Dubai in December and later appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court charged with being involved in serious organised crime and being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.<\/p>\n

Spain shooting<\/p>\n

Eddie Lyons Junior and Ross Monaghan were shot and killed at an Irish bar in Spain in July last year.<\/p>\n

Both men had known connections to gangland crime in Scotland and were shot by a masked gunman who fled the scene.<\/p>\n

The pair had been involved in a rivalry with the Daniel organised crime group for more than two decades.<\/p>\n

Eddie Lyons Junior survived an attempt on his life in 2006 when he was ambushed by Kevin \u201cGerbil\u201d Carroll in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire.<\/p>\n

That attack followed another incident widely regarded as having taken the Lyons vs Daniels gang feud to a new level.<\/p>\n

In November 2006, Carroll allegedly used a 4\u00d74 and a rope to topple the headstone of Eddie Jr\u2019s brother Garry, who died of leukaemia in 1991 aged eight.<\/p>\n

Eddie Jr\u2019s cousin, Michael, was shot dead in 2007 after two hitmen from the Daniels opened fire at Applerow Motors, off Balmore Road in the Lambhill area of the city.<\/p>\n

The hitmen were enforcers for the Daniel crime clan, believed to have been led by the late Jamie Daniel.<\/p>\n

Monaghan was arrested as a suspect in the 2010 shooting of Carroll, who was gunned down in a brutal gangland assassination in the car park of Asda Robroyston.<\/p>\n

But he was acquitted after the judge at his 2012 trial ruled there was insufficient evidence.<\/p>\n

Monaghan was also cleared of attempting to defeat the ends of justice by disposing of the two guns used in the shooting and torching the getaway car.<\/p>\n

Monaghan fled to Spain in 2017 after he was shot outside a primary school in the Penilee area of Glasgow.<\/p>\n

He had just dropped his daughter off at St George\u2019s Primary School.<\/p>\n

Later that year, Monaghan and Eddie Lyons Jnr were both cleared of being involved in a brutal street attack on three men outside the Campsie bar in Bishopbriggs.<\/p>\n

The case collapsed after prosecutors withdrew the charges against them following two days of evidence.<\/p>\n

Gang war<\/p>\n

Police Scotland\u2019s Operation Portaledge was launched to crack down on serious organised crime after a gang feud spanning the central belt ignited in March 2025.<\/p>\n

The Scots allegedly arrested in Dubai \u2013 Steven Lyons, Ross McGill, Stephen Jamieson and Steven Larwood \u2013 are believed to be involved in the feud.<\/p>\n

Jailed cocaine kingpin Mark Richardson has also been linked to the case, with a group named TMJ issuing a bounty, offering a reward for a violent attack on the Scottish drug lord.<\/p>\n

The special task force has arrested a total of 63 people in connection with the organised crime war.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Marshall O\u2019Hara, 21, Fraser Stewart, 22, and Aiden McLaughlin, 21, admitted to firebombing houses and a carpet firm linked to the Daniel crime family.<\/p>\n

Arran Reid, 27, was jailed for eight years and four months in December after being caught as part of the police operation.<\/p>\n

He admitted attacking David McMillan with a machete outside of his home on May 22 and firing a revolver recklessly at a window of a house in Inch, Edinburgh, on June 12.<\/p>\n

Liam McDermid, 25, was given six years and nine months in November for using a metal detector to try to find a Glock pistol which had been hidden close to a primary school in Edinburgh.\u00a0<\/p>\n
