\n\tThe Army<\/a> has suspended the crew who\u00a0flew military helicopters<\/a>\u00a0near Kid Rock<\/a>\u2019s Nashville<\/a> home over the weekend, a U.S. official\u00a0told NBC News<\/a>\u00a0on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Saturday, Kid Rock shared a video of himself clapping for the two AH64 Apache helicopters as they circled his home, an area he\u2019s dubbed \u201cThe Southern White House,\u201d a replica of the White House. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis is a level of respect that shit for brains Governor of California will never know,\u201d Rock captioned the video, in a slam on\u00a0Gavin Newsom<\/a>. \u201cGod Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her.\u201d At press time, the video has been viewed 10 million times.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe U.S. Army identified the aircraft as AH-64 Apache helicopters, which were flying in the Nashville area; a military spokesperson said on Monday that the incident was being reviewed and any \u201cappropriate action will be taken if any violations are found.\u201d They added that the aircraft had come from Fort Campbell, Kentucky, prior to their flying around the Nashville area to do an apparent fly-by over Kid Rock\u2019s house.<\/p>\n

\n\tPer a statement from the Army on Monday, \u201cArmy aviators must adhere to strict safety standards, professionalism, and established flight regulations. An administrative review is underway to assess the mission and verify compliance with regulations and airspace requirements.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen asked about the incident in an interview, Rock boasted about his close friendship<\/a> with President Donald Trump. \u201cI think [the pilots are] going to be all right \u2014\u00a0my buddy is the Commander-in-Chief,\u201d Rock told Nashville news station\u00a0WKRN<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Tuesday, President Trump was asked by Fox News\u2019 Peter Doocy if he had viewed the \u201cviral video\u201d of \u201carmy helicopters hovering near Kid Rock\u2019s house in Nashville.\u201d Trump said he had not seen the footage but remarked, \u201cI\u2019m sure they had a good time.\u201d When asked about the aircrew having been reportedly suspended following the apparent stunt, Trump responded, \u201cWell, they probably shouldn\u2019t have been doing it, yes. You\u2019re not supposed to be playing games, right?\u201d But seemingly in their defense he added, \u201cThey like Kid Rock. I like Kid Rock. Maybe they were trying to defend him. I don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDespite the timing of the fly-bys on Saturday \u2014 which per flight-tracking data online, at least one of the helicopters circled Rock\u2019s estate four times over a three-minute span \u2014 a spokesman for the 101st Airborne Division in Fort Campbell denied the fly-overs being connected to the No Kings protests<\/a> that took place over the weekend. The event drew millions<\/a>, including Bruce Springsteen, who performed<\/a> at the St. Paul rally.
