Thomas Tuchel originally intended to rest Kane for the opening game versus Uruguay, to give him some time off to recover before starting him against Japan. It was some welcome time off for the striker, who suffered a calf issue that made him miss the Champions League game versus Atalanta. Now, it seems the former FC Bayern manager will have to go without his main attacker for the Japan game.<\/p>\n
It is still unknown how badly Kane is injured, and whether it could jeopardize his participation against Real Madrid in the Champions League a week from now. Bayern Munich will want him returned to Munich as soon as possible to be looked at by their medical team.<\/p>\n
