Mystery thriller A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder has now confirmed a release date for its highly-anticipated second season, following a teaser clip shared with its cast. The hit show will arrive in the UK on 27 May, with all six episodes launching on BBC iPlayer ahead of a broadcast on BBC One and BBC Three. <\/p>\n

This official season two return announcement follows a short social video, which was shared on the show’s official Instagram page<\/a>, featuring stars of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, including Emma Myers (Wednesday) and Asha Banks (My Fault: London). They can be seen holding up a piece of paper, emblazoned with the words: “You’re getting closer”. <\/p>\n

The premiere of the hit cosy crime, which is based on the popular Holly Jackson novel, followed 17-year-old Pip Fitz-Amobi (Myers) as she attempted to dig into a cold case. The first season arrived on screen almost two years ago, launching on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer in the UK. When the show was later added to Netflix<\/a>, it then jumped into the streamer’s trending chart. <\/p>\n

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder was positively received by critics at the time of its initial release, with Variety<\/a> branding it “a dark, twisted delight”, and The i Paper <\/a>stating that the show is “at its best when it leans into being a fast-paced, frothy whodunnit”.<\/p>\n

“A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder combines teen drama with crime procedurals to create a riveting series made endearing by solid performances from its young cast,” wrote LA Weekly<\/a> at the time. <\/p>\n

Digital Spy’s own four-star review<\/a> called the show “the perfect summer vibe”. <\/p>\n

It was announced<\/a> in November 2024 that A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder would be coming back for second season, with a filming update<\/a> shared the following April, and earlier this year we were given a first look at<\/a> a number of its returning characters in the upcoming episodes. <\/p>\n

According to what’s already been revealed, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder season two will pick up with the central character of Pip (Emma Myers) after she solved the Andie Bell case<\/a> in season one \u2013 only, her world has been “transformed by her actions, and not always for the better”.<\/p>\n

Other returning characters include Ravi (Zain Iqbal), Cara (Asha Banks), Lauren (Yali Topol Margalith) and Connor (Jude Morgan-Collie). Meanwhile, new cast members for season two include Misia Butler (Netflix’s Kaos), Jack Rowan (BBC’s Noughts and Crosses), Eden Hambelton-Davies (Tell Me Everything) and Freddie Thorp (Netflix’s Safe). <\/p>\n

Fans will no doubt be really excited that the second season is indeed “getting closer”.<\/p>\n
