A spate of new design galleries<\/a> has opened recently in London, Copenhagen, New York and more. We’ve rounded up seven that are well worth a visit.<\/p>\n

Oslo, Norway<\/p>\n

Iranian-born photographer and stylist Neshat is behind D142<\/a>, a gallery in Oslo’s Gr\u00fcnerl\u00f8kka neighbourhood conceived as a platform for young and emerging creatives across art, design and culture.<\/p>\n

Following a launch exhibition curated by Live Berg<\/a>, D142 has just opened its second show, Et Dukkehjem, which combines full-scale and dollhouse-sized objects.<\/p>\n

London, UK<\/p>\n

Design office Bompas & Parr<\/a> has transformed part of its east London studio into a gallery that will showcase contemporary art and design alongside historical artefacts, using\u00a0“museological and immersive techniques”.<\/p>\n

Woodward Henry debuts with the exhibition My Lady Nicotine<\/a>, which explores the role of smoking and other forms of nicotine consumption in contemporary culture.<\/p>\n

Copenhagen, Denmark<\/p>\n

After six years as gallery director for Etage Projects<\/a>, Turkish-born curator Zeynep Rekkali Jensen has launched a Copenhagen gallery of her own, where she plans to show contemporary design alongside pre-1940 decorative arts.<\/p>\n

The debut show at Innenkreis<\/a> features garment-inspired furniture<\/a> by Danish designer Laerke Ryom.<\/p>\n

Unit.d
London, UK<\/p>\n

With a mission to make design more accessible, Unit.d<\/a> is an east London gallery offering well-made, everyday objects at affordable prices.<\/p>\n

Founded by writer, consultant and Shoreditch Design Week creative director, Duncan Riches, the gallery aims to support the UK design industry by showcasing products developed for batch manufacturing.<\/p>\n

Unit.d launched with a show of objects by designers Michael Marriot<\/a> and Jasper Morrison<\/a>, while upcoming shows will present works by designers Andu Masebo<\/a>, Mentsen and Alexandra Gerber<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Future Perfect Miami
Miami, USA<\/p>\n

David Alhadeff unveiled a fourth location for his collectable design gallery, The Future Perfect<\/a>, during Miami art week at the end of 2025.<\/p>\n

Occupying Villa Paula, a neoclassical 1926 house rumoured to be haunted, the location brings something different from the gallery’s offerings in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. The follow-up to the inaugural show<\/a> is hotly anticipated.<\/p>\n

House of Santal
New York, USA<\/p>\n

South Asian furniture takes the spotlight in House of Santal<\/a>, a gallery in a former 10th-floor office in Midtown Manhattan.<\/p>\n

Founded by designer and curator Raksha Sanikam, the gallery has opened with a show of work by 13 Indian designers and studios<\/a>, with exhibits ranging from sculptural furniture to swings.<\/p>\n

Brazilian design has a new home in London’s Soho, courtesy of Lexington Street gallery Jig Studio<\/a>.<\/p>\n
