{"id":508032,"date":"2026-04-02T00:40:10","date_gmt":"2026-04-02T00:40:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/508032\/"},"modified":"2026-04-02T00:40:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-02T00:40:10","slug":"hull-fc-standout-over-the-moon-as-new-extended-contract-confirmed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/508032\/","title":{"rendered":"Hull FC standout \u2018over the moon\u2019 as new extended contract confirmed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img width=\"2400\" height=\"1600\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/AM2_1225.jpg\" class=\"attachment- size- wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"  \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Hull FC have secured the future of one of their standout players from the early stages of the 2026 Super League season.<\/p>\n<p>Off-contract utility Zak Hardaker has signed a new one-year deal that will keep the 34-year-old at the MKM Stadium until the end of the 2027 season.<\/p>\n<p>Hardaker signed with Hull FC from Leigh ahead of the 2025 season and ended up playing all across the pitch with prominent spells at full-back, centre, half-back and in the second-row.<\/p>\n<p>That versatility has been evident again already in 2026 with Hardaker having featured at centre, full-back and most recently in the halves in the win over Catalans Dragons.<\/p>\n<p>News of the former Man of Steel\u2019s new deal came from Hull FC with a statement announcing: \u201cHull FC are delighted to announce that Zak Hardaker has signed a one-year contract extension with the club.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe veteran utility man will remain with the Black &amp; Whites into the 2027 Betfred Super League season \u2013 his 18th season in the professional game.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Willie Peters, Brad Arthur\u2019s Leeds Rhinos future, RTS and Rivals Round previewed \u2013 <a class=\"in-cell-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=vVwoeWHL-xY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Click here to watch the latest episode of the Serious About Rugby League Show<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Zak Hardaker \u2018over the moon\u2019 with new Hull FC deal<\/p>\n<p>Hardaker, who was named Hull FC Player of the Year in 2025, has made 32 appearances for the club to date and looks set to feature in this Friday\u2019s derby against Hull KR.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to hullfc.com, Hardaker said of his new deal: \u201cI\u2019m absolutely over the moon to be doing another year at Hull FC in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGetting it over the line so early in the year is a godsend really because it\u2019s no longer going to be a distraction, worrying about my future. I can get my head down and solely focus on winning games for Hull now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hardaker also paid credit and tribute to the fans, stating: \u201cI just want to give a shout- out to the fans as well, who have been nothing short of fantastic with me during my time at the club.
