Pink Un earlier this week that he expects to be fit for the Good Friday clash.

Chrisene could also come back into contention. The left-back has been sidelined for the last two matches after picking up a hamstring injury during the win over Preston North End at Carrow Road, but is hopeful of returning in time to face Pompey.

Meanwhile, Jeffrey Schlupp has stepped up his recovery. Clement revealed before the break that the versatile defender was back on the grass and targeting a return within weeks. Having not featured since November due to a hamstring problem, Schlupp has since been pictured in training.

Mathias Kvistgaarden has had to shoulder the load in the absence of his fellow strikers, but Mo Touré is anticipated to return from the groin injury he sustained during the victory over Sheffield Wednesday in February. The Australian striker did not take part in international duty.

Oscar Schwartau hasn’t featured since the FA Cup fourth-round win over West Brom due to a hamstring injury, but he is another who is expected to return as an option for the end-of-season run-in.

It was a busy period for the contingent who headed away on international duty. Clement was critical of the scheduling of the Easter fixtures immediately after the international window, with Ali Ahmed and Anis Ben Slimane facing each other in the early hours of Wednesday morning (UK time) in Toronto before having to return to England and be available for a Championship fixture just 24 hours later. Neither of the pair trained on Thursday afternoon.

Wide player Matej Jurasek is still several weeks away from returning from a foot injury, while striker Jovon Makama (foot) and winger Papa Amadou Diallo (quad) are expected to miss the majority of the run-in.

Manchester United loanee Harry Amass (hamstring) has returned to his parent club to continue his rehabilitation, but Clement has made it clear that Norwich have not terminated the loan, with the hope he can still feature at the back end of the season.

Gabe Forsyth is continuing a rehab programme as he aims to make a competitive return following a knee injury sustained in November 2024.

Mirko Topic and Ante Crnac are out for the season with ACL injuries, while Lucien Mahovo (muscular) and Shane Duffy (hamstring) remain longer-term absentees.

Portsmouth sit 21st in the Championship table, just one point and one place above the relegation zone, and have taken only one point from their last six games. A 6-1 drubbing at Loftus Road before the break, combined with a lengthy injury list, means they travel to Norfolk low on confidence and short of options.

Harry Darling and Josh Sargent were on the scoresheet in the reverse fixture in August, with Norwich coming out 2-1 winners at Fratton Park. Goalkeeper Kovacevic notably saved a penalty to help secure the victory.
