\n\tWith BTS<\/a>\u2019 ARIRANG, the K-pop cornerstone act\u2019s first studio album of new music since 2020, the group further imprinted its stamp in Billboard\u2019s chart record books.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe set stormed the Billboard 200<\/a> dated April 4, becoming BTS\u2019 seventh No. 1<\/a>, with the largest week for an album by equivalent album units earned among duos or groups: 641,000 in the United States March 20-26, according to Luminate. (The chart began ranking titles by equivalent album units in December 2014.) Vinyl sales of ARIRANG accounted for 208,000 \u2014 the largest sales week for an album by a duo or group since Luminate began electronically tracking sales in 1991.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe LP\u2019s lead focus track, \u201cSwim,\u201d concurrently lapped the competition on the Billboard Hot 100<\/a>, launching at No. 1. It likewise became BTS\u2019 seventh leader<\/a> on the chart and sixth to debut on top, the most such entrances among duos or groups.<\/p>\n

\n\tThanks to those starts, BTS became the first group to debut an album and song atop the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 simultaneously multiple times, with ARIRANG and \u201cSwim\u201d joining\u00a0 Be and \u201cLife Goes On\u201d in 2020.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn the Billboard Global Excl. U.S.<\/a> chart, BTS became the first act to claim the entire top 10<\/a> (and top 13) simultaneously, thanks to ARIRANG\u2019s songs, led by \u201cSwim.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tPlus, \u201cSwim\u201d extended BTS\u2019 mark for the most No. 1s, 13, on the Digital Song Sales Chart among duos or groups. On World Digital Song Sales, \u201cAliens\u201d invaded the top spot, becoming the group\u2019s record-extending 43rd No. 1; no other act has a double-digit total. The septet adds three entries on the survey, upping its total to a leading 161 appearances overall.<\/p>\n
