TL;DR<\/p>\n

Samsung got One UI 8.5 betas for the Galaxy S25 started last December.
\nThe most recent, One UI 8.5 beta 8, arrived the last week of March.
\nA tipster now reports we have two more betas to go, both landing later in April.<\/p>\n

At this point, how much of a tease does One UI 8.5 feel like? Samsung\u2019s been dropping One UI 8.5 betas<\/a> for nearly four months at this point, getting the ball rolling back in early December. While that\u2019s recently been expanding to cover more and more Galaxy handsets<\/a>, and we\u2019ve even seen the start of One UI 9 testing<\/a>, the One UI 8.5 beta period has just been dragging on and on for Samsung\u2019s existing hardware, with the S25 getting beta 8<\/a> just last week. When in the world could we hope for the S25 to actually get One UI 8.5 stable?<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t want to miss the best from Android Authority?<\/p>\n

Well, according to one prominent source, it sounds like the end could finally be within sight. Over on not-Twitter-anymore, leaker Tarun Vats<\/a> shares what he calls an exclusive find concerning Samsung\u2019s One UI 8.5 beta plans for the Galaxy S25. According to his info, Samsung is planning to release two more One UI 8.5 betas across April:<\/p>\n

Beta 9 \u2014 expected around April 9th
\nBeta 10 \u2014 expected around April 20th<\/p>\n

That roughly two-week cadence would fit with Samsung\u2019s recent beta schedule, so this sounds sensible enough on face value.<\/p>\n

Well, what about an 11th beta, then? According to Vats, this is as far as Samsung\u2019s planning to take us, and we should be getting \u201ca total of 10 One UI 8.5 beta updates.\u201d At least colloquially, that reads as 10 betas total, though if we\u2019re being pedantic, beta 2 was the first One UI 8.5 beta update, so could we possible be getting 11?<\/p>\n

Assuming we\u2019re mostly just cleaning up some stubborn bugs in these later releases, hopefully this also means that we\u2019re just a few more weeks away from Samsung\u2019s stable One UI 8.5 release for Galaxy S25 devices \u2014 sometime in early May would make a whole lot of sense.<\/p>\n

Of course, even after One UI 8.5 stable gets here for the Galaxy S25, Samsung\u2019s still got a whole, whole lot of other Galaxy handsets to update, but we\u2019d just love to cross the threshold for at least one before summer gets here!<\/p>\n
