Pooh Shiesty has been federally charged with kidnapping and robbing at gunpoint after an alleged incident with fellow rapper Gucci Mane in Dallas.<\/p>\n
Authorities say<\/a> Shiesty, whose real name is Lontrell Williams. Jr., was among nine men — including his father — who traveled from Memphis to Dallas in January to carry out an armed takeover under the guise of a studio meeting. Williams, who’s signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records, allegedly arranged the meeting to discuss the terms of his contract.<\/p>\n Williams then pulled out an AK-style pistol and held one of the victims at gunpoint until they signed a release from his recording contract, police say<\/a>. His alleged co-conspirators flashed guns while robbing the other victims of jewelry, cash and other luxury items, several of which they appeared to post on social media hours later.<\/p>\n \u201cInstead of discussing business in a civil matter, the defendants resorted to violence and intimidation to achieve their purported business objectives,\u201d said Ryan Raybould<\/a>, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas. \u201cFor anyone contemplating using violence and intimidation as a business practice, I\u2019m here to tell you that it will be vigorously investigated and prosecuted in the Northern District of Texas.”<\/p>\n So, how long could Williams and Co. face in prison if convicted on the charges? They face up to life imprisonment, as federal kidnapping and robbery charges are about as serious as they come.<\/p>\n Williams just got out of prison in October 2025 after being locked up on firearms and drug charges.<\/p>\n
