Hull FC star John Asiata has left the field with injury in this afternoon\u2019s derby match with Hull KR.<\/p>\n

The former Leigh man has only recently made his return, and after getting injured in August 2025, returned to the side in round three against York Knights.<\/p>\n

Five appearances later, the 33-year-old is set for another lengthy lay-off, in what would be a huge blow for John Cartwright\u2019s side.<\/p>\n

The FC boss spoke in the week how the side are so much better when he is on the field, and it is their efforts with him out of the side that they need to improve on.<\/p>\n

In the same set, winger Lewis Martin was controversially denied a try in the left corner. The away side spread the ball to the edges, but another sensational tackle from Jack Broadbent did just enough to deny the speedster.<\/p>\n

After review, video referee Liam Rush deemed that there was enough conclusive evidence to rule out the score, meaning that FC remained four points down after 47 minutes.<\/p>\n

With Asiata off the field, FC will have to put on their best performance of the season if they are to come away from Craven Park with both the derby bragging rights and the two points.<\/p>\n
