Video footage captured at the beach shows the dolphins swimming by without a care in the world<\/p>\n
Swimmers enjoying a Welsh beach on Good Friday had quite the surprise as dolphins popped their heads above the sea just yards from the shore.<\/p>\n
Members of the Numb Nuts swimming group were taking part in one of their regular dips at Saundersfoot Beach on Friday morning, April 3, when dolphins could be spotted more or less alongside them. The incredible footage was captured at around 9.20am on Friday, with the Love Saundersfoot Facebook<\/a> page describing the moment as \u201cthe most unreal surprise\u201d.<\/p>\n The page added: \u201cNot out in the distance, not on the horizon – right in close! The group often raise money for charities like Macmillan Cancer Support.<\/p>\n A few members braved the cold and windy Good Friday weather<\/a> for a swim and they certainly got more than they bargained for in terms of company.<\/p>\n Dolphin sightings are common in Pembrokeshire<\/a> between April and September, but many were caught by surprise when they saw them so close to the shore so early in the year.<\/p>\n According to Visit Pembrokeshire: \u201cDuring summer months, hundreds of visiting dolphins can sometimes be seen, many with very young calves.\u201d<\/p>\n Get daily breaking news updates on your phone by joining our WhatsApp community here<\/a>.
