Meanwhile, the Galaxy A57 and A37 launched earlier this week, but the Poco series is offering some stiff competition to both A and S phones.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra with 512GB storage is now €1,185, which is €45 less than it was two weeks ago. The 512GB model has a bigger discount, so the usual €200 gap between it and the 256GB model has shrunk in half.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 now starts at €800, but the 512GB model is fairly pricey at €1,000 – this same 512GB model was just €870 two weeks ago. That was a better deal, so unless you need a new phone now or you are fine with 256GB storage, we’d advise you to wait a couple of weeks.

As we mentioned, the Samsung Galaxy A57 and A37 are available as of this week. Their 256GB models are discounted to the price of the 128GB versions, so it is a free storage upgrade in a way. For the Galaxy A37 it’s even better since you get 2 extra gigs of RAM.

Unlike last year, the Galaxy S26 and S26+ use Exynos chips – if you’d rather have a Snapdragon, you can get the S26 Ultra or one of these Pocos.

The Poco F8 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a 6,500mAh battery (100W wired, 50W wireless charging). It has a 6.9” display (OLED, Dolby Vision) and a triple 50MP camera – 1/1.31” main, 5x/115mm periscope and 102° ultra-wide.

The Poco F8 Pro is a bit smaller with a 6.69” display (OLED, Dolby Vision) and uses the older fast Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, plus a 6,210mAh battery (100W wired-only charging). Its cameras are less capable but still quite good – there’s a 50MP 1/1.56” main, 50MP 2.5x/60mm telephoto and 8MP 120° ultra-wide.

The Poco F7 is a bit older and while it doesn’t have a flagship-grade chipset, it has the next best thing – a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. There’s also the large 6,500mAh battery (90W wired-only charging) and a 6.83” display (OLED, Dolby Vision). The camera setup is fairly basic (50MP 1/1.95” main, 8MP ultra-wide), but it does well for itself. This is a lot of hardware for €310 – did we mention the aluminum frame? Samsung would charge you €220 more for an A57.

In the same vein, there is the Xiaomi Redmi 15. It’s not a high-end phone by any means – the camera especially – but for €150 you get a 6.9” 1080p+ display (144Hz IPS LCD) and a massive 7,000mAh battery (33W charging). This is a 5G phone powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 and has expandable storage (but no headphone jack).

We may get a commission from qualifying sales.

[16
2306,86,56,54,55
0":"post-514025","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-mobile","8":"tag-mobile","9":"tag-technology","10":"tag-uk","11":"tag-united-kingdom","12":"tag-unitedkingdom
["GET
