Newcastle United are among a host of clubs closely monitoring Manchester United midfielder Manuel Ugarte ahead of the summer, according to reports.<\/p>\n

The St James\u2019 Park side<\/a> are claimed to be keeping tabs on the unsettled Uruguayan, who is \u2018pushing\u2019 for a move away amid struggles for playing time this season.<\/p>\n

Ugarte has played just 915 minutes of football in 2025\/26, making seven Premier League starts, and has been heavily linked with a departure in recent weeks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

United welcomed the Uruguayan from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2024 on a five-year contract, with an option to extend the deal for another season.<\/p>\n

Newcastle Eyeing Manuel Ugarte<\/p>\n

According to CaughtOffside<\/a>, Manchester United are aware of Ugarte\u2019s desire to leave and will not stand in his way after blocking a potential loan departure in January.<\/p>\n

The Old Trafford side are believed to have placed a valuation of around \u00a335m on the \u2018unbelievable\u2019<\/a> midfielder and are bracing for significant interest this summer.<\/p>\n

Serie A giants Juventus are reportedly leading the race for Ugarte\u2019s signature, while Galatasaray, Newcastle and Aston Villa are among those keeping tabs on the situation.<\/p>\n

Ugarte was targeted by Galatasaray in January, but United refused to entertain an exit following Michael Carrick\u2019s appointment as interim manager.<\/p>\n

Manchester United\u2019s interest in Newcastle stars Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes<\/a> has been well-documented in recent weeks, with the Red Devils targeting the two midfielders ahead of their anticipated summer rebuild.<\/p>\n

Newcastle could struggle to keep hold of the duo if they fail to qualify for continental football this season but remain in a strong negotiating position for both, as Tonali and Guimaraes\u2019 contracts run until the summer of 2028.<\/p>\n

United are targeting a new midfielder to replace departing veteran Casemiro, who is set to call time on his four-year Old Trafford spell at the end of the season.<\/p>\n

Newcastle Looking to Replace Tonali<\/p>\n
