Jack Fincham<\/a> found fame after winning Love Island<\/a> in 2018 \u2013 but his life has now taken a very different turn.<\/p>\n The reality TV star, 34, split a \u00a350,000 prize with Dani Dyer<\/a> after triumphing in the ITV<\/a> dating show\u2019s fourth series.<\/p>\n Alas, their summer romance wasn\u2019t to last, as they split after just six months, despite swiftly moving in together and getting a puppy, not to mention the opportunity of having Danny Dyer<\/a> as a father-in-law.<\/p>\n Fast forward six years, and Jack has admitted that things couldn\u2019t be \u2018any worse\u2019 for him, having ended up homeless<\/a>.<\/p>\n The influencer entered rehab for the second time earlier this year after relapsing with drugs and alcohol<\/a>. He told Good Morning Britain this month that he \u2018did a detox of benzodiazepines and pregabalin, prescription drugs\u2019, for six weeks, but he \u2018knew\u2019 it needed to be done.<\/p>\n \t\t However, while Jack has taken responsibility for his actions, he has felt unsupported by his family following his discharge.<\/p>\n Taking to Instagram this weekend, Jack candidly spoke about his attempt to live in Liverpool<\/a>, but it \u2018didn\u2019t work out\u2019 with his flatmate.<\/p>\n \u2018I thought I\u2019d be getting more support from people close to me that haven\u2019t shown that support,\u2019 he said in a video shared with his followers.<\/p>\n \u2018Listen, I\u2019m a 34-year-old man, you can\u2019t rely on your family all the time.\u2019<\/p>\n He continued: \u2018One thing they told me in rehab, and it\u2019s true, you\u2019re not gonna walk out of rehab to a red carpet rolled out for you because it\u2019s stuff you should have been doing anyway.\u2019<\/p>\n On his current arrangements, he stated that he doesn\u2019t have \u2018much left\u2019, staying in a hotel with his dog while trying to figure out \u2018what to do\u2019.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t \u2018I\u2019m just gonna reset and work out what to do and where I wanna live,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n Praising his four-legged friend, he then declared: \u2018Got my beautiful dog, Elvis. Without him, I probably wouldn\u2019t even be here, to be honest.\u2019<\/p>\n He went on to express his gratitude for the staff who managed his treatment, saying he \u2018wasn\u2019t used to\u2019 the level of \u2018kindness\u2019 they showed.<\/p>\n \u2018I found it quite alien<\/a>.\u2019<\/p>\n While he found the process \u2018scary\u2019, Jack, who first entered rehab in 2021 before his Christmas 2025 relapse, is now looking forward.<\/p>\n \u2018There\u2019s been a few struggles along the way, and look, I\u2019m starting again from zero,\u2019 he acknowledged. \u2018I\u2019m a very optimistic person, and I just think it can\u2019t get any worse than this.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t \u2018I\u2019m gonna do my acting and get back into TV work; I\u2019m gonna do all the things I said I was gonna do.\u2019<\/p>\n In recent years, Jack has been an open book<\/a> when discussing his addiction struggles, revealing how he had \u2018kissed a woman and [didn\u2019t] even remember doing it\u2019, leaving him feeling \u2019embarrassed, mortified, and like an idiot\u2019.<\/p>\n \u2018I am a 33-year-old man. I should be settled down, married. Instead, I need help,\u2019 he said frankly in January, adding that he wanted to recover so he\u2019d be able to \u2018say no to future temptations\u2019.<\/p>\n Other mental health battles he\u2019s opened up about since his stint in the Love Island villa include a past battle with an eating disorder<\/a>.<\/p>\n Jack developed bulimia (which involves binge eating over short periods before ridding your body of the food via purging) as a teenager due to the pressures of losing weight as a boxer.<\/p>\n He told The Sun that, after \u2018being bulimic for 19 years\u2019, he is \u2018in agony without daily medication\u2019.<\/p>\n \u2018I could be on them forever; I don\u2019t know.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/SEI_292132572-de22.jpg\")
