Jack Fincham has provided an update on how he’s doing as he’s left rehab as he said he was ‘starting again from zero’.<\/p>\n

The former Love Island winner had previously come clean about his addictions and said they’d played a role in his split from fellow show winner Dani Dyer.<\/p>\n

Last year he was also handed a six-week jail term<\/a> over his dog, a black Cane Corso named Elvis, attacking someone, though he was able to appeal his sentence<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He’d also admitted he’d spend a million ‘chasing the wrong things’<\/a> and saying he’d made mistakes which had caused him to want to make a fresh change.<\/p>\n

Several weeks ago he declared he was checking himself into rehab and claimed a \u00a320 in his pocket was all the money he had to his name, and now he’s given an update on his situation.<\/p>\n

Speaking in videos on his Instagram<\/a> profile, Fincham said things in his life had gone ‘not to plan, put it that way, not to plan’.<\/p>\n

“Tried living in Liverpool for a bit, that didn’t work out,” he said before explaining some of the advice he’d received in rehab had helped him and he was looking to the future with optimism.<\/p>\n

“One thing they told me in rehab, and it is true, you’re not gonna walk out of rehab to a red carpet for you, because it’s stuff you should have been doing anyway.<\/p>\n

“There’s been a few struggles along the way, and I’m starting again from zero. But I am a very optimistic person and I just think that it can’t get any worse than this, so let’s make it happen.”<\/p>\n

He went on to add that the staff who helped him during his time in rehab were ‘some of the most amazing people I’ve ever met in my whole entire life’.<\/p>\n

Fincham claimed ‘that level of kindness, I wasn’t used to for a little while’ and that he ‘found it quite alien’, while it’s also ‘scary going back into the world with absolutely zero’ but he’s going to do it.<\/p>\n

He said: “I don’t care what anyone says any more. I’m gonna do my acting, I’m gonna build up my office supplies, get back into TV work. I’m gonna do all of the things I said I was gonna do.”<\/p>\n

Without naming names he said he ‘thought I’d be getting more support from people that are close to me that haven’t shown that support’, but at the end of the day ‘I’m out in the world, I’m earing, I’m a 33-year-old man’ and ‘you can’t rely on your family all the time’.<\/p>\n

He said he was ‘starting right from the beginning’ and there was ‘nothing for me to lose now’, while he credited ‘my beautiful dog Elvis’ with being a faithful companion.<\/p>\n
